Flatulence potency

I know this sounds very bizarre but my partner and i were talking about it. As you do....

Why do farts released in the shower smell worse than those freed in a non humid environment??

it is probably partly the clothing thing, but if i recall my gcse chemistry, (though that was on ammonia not farts...) the molecules that cause the smell will clump together with the water in the steam which makes a more potent smell. in the air all the little molecules disperse much more quickly which means they don't cause as much of a smell.
 

by the way - the adverts along the side of this question are genius!  anti-flatulence dog diaper?  fartaphone?  whatever next
