Curling tongs - recommendations please

Is there a particular brand that flies the flag for high-quality curling tongs? I'm disappointed that GHD don't make them, because they make the best straightening irons out there!

Any recommendations much appreciated (or equally, any to definitely avoid)

Not worried about price, just good quality.

You can use GHDs as curling tongs if you get the mini ones. I curl my daughter's hair with mine whenever she goes for a night out.

mostly used babyliss or carmen both pretty good but what ever you choose look for a set with interchangeable barrels

daffy - have tried to do it with GHDs and just can't manage it! I much prefer the barrels with the clip to hold your hair on it (I have REALLY long thick hair!)

Rowan - thanks for the suggested brands. I should have thought of Carmen as I have one of their hairdryers and its really good. Can I ask why interchangeable barrels are useful?

you can vary the size of the curl, also larger diameter barrels work better on long hair as more hair is in contact with the hot surface, thin barrels tight curls bigger barrels softer curls
