You don't say what you mean by morbid dreams but in the worst scenario it could be the onset of severe post natal depression (or even puerperal psychosis) for which you need medical help fast!!!
It sounds like your wife's hormones are still settling down after her pregnancy, and as you suggest, it is a post-pregnancy phase, partly physical in origin - the hormones, and partly emoptional, the feeling of responsibility for another life. It will settle down, but if the dreams persist, you would be advised to contact your GP or midwife for a chat, to put your minds at rest. In the mean time, enjoy the wonderful experience of your new baby, and don't worry!
probably just the beginning of the lifetime worry ahead of you now you have become parents! everything is dangerous now! I have a 3 year old and no. 2 is due in 10 weeks and I an scared of everything!
Death in dreams (if thats what you mean by the morbid part) is always a sign of an ending or a beginning of something else. It represents the death of the past, not people. It is very very common for pregnant women to dream of death actually - it symbolises the new stage of their life taking over, so I imagine that can continue until a while after the birth. The transistion from old to new can well be tricky but it sounds to me like you have a lovely future ahead of you!
