Would any other ABers like to defend hospital food. In my humble opinion I find it lovely, and have never had any complaints at all. Losing a stone in a week is amazing, daffy, even if you did not plan this. Perhaps hospitals should double up as health farms, and then charge people for this service.
in ours (royal berkshire in Reading) you can chose the size of portion (and believe me, large really is large) It wouldn't be the kind of food i would eat at home, but i gave their casseroles and stews a go and they were lovely. Soup as a starter for the main meal, sponge puddings and custard for afters most days, plus snacks like fruit or cheese and crackers or cake to order to eat through the day - it was yum!
