My auntie who is oober healthy (food and exercise wise) went to the doctors who asked her to do a weeks food diary and said that she was eating to healthily!

What The Funicular?!?!?! Something about too many wholegrains.

PS, I'm not sure if she mentioned the alcohol she probably consumed during that week. Wen she was with us, sunday to tuesday night she had; 1/3 of a bottle of champagne, a cocktail including a champagne shot, 1/3 bottle of white white, 1/2 bottle of red wine . . . but I'm not sure how much she has on a normal night . . .

You need fat in your diet to be healthy..
On a normal night, she probably really lets herself go, lol

I think 'too healthily' might have been a funny was of saying 'not balanced' really.

BTW she goes to weightwatchers. She used to be a size fourteen and is now a 10/12 but even to start with she was one of the skinniest.
that isn't a huge amount of alcohol in 3 nights and represents only roughly 10 units......not unless she downed scotch/gin whatever on top of the wine
Hic....
Did the doctor actually say that the lady was doing herself some harm with her choice of lifestyle? Because if he didn't say that, I reckon that she should carry on doing what she plainly enjoys.

Bookbinder she went to the docs with some minor ailment and the doc suggested it was her healthy lifestyle hat caused it, and told her told drink an actimel a day - of course she has the low fat ones.

Never had one, and have experienced the other ! I must be eating too little.

oh dear, well she is in her early 40s . . .
my doctor said actimel was a load of rubbish, I tend to agree

I thought it was only any good after you've been on antibiotics as they will have killed good and bad bacteria in you and you need to help restore the good ones.
Too many whole grains could cause some digestive problems if it means your auntie is getting too much fiber.
As for the alcohol she had while visiting you-that's not a huge amount -particularly during a family gathering.

Her friend was staying with her for a few days before we arrived, and todays she's gone on holiday . . .
As said above, probably not balanced enought. When you say healthy, what does she eat? Celery is pretty healthy but if it's all I ate that would be decidedly unhealthy.

Anorexics are hardly healthy through lack of amount of food and nutrition.

I can quite imagine too many wholegrains aren't good for you, can't imagine it has too nice an effect on your insides and would wonder about the repercussions!
the minor ailment must be related to why the doc asked her to keep a food diary
