5-HTP and St Johns Wort
4 Answers
I am taking a 5-HTP supplement (Happy Days) from healthspan for mild depression and am thinking of also taking St Johns Wort also. I do not wish to take prescription drugs for this problem anymore. Does anyone know if these two are ok to take together?.

I was on medication for years but then I found Paul McKenna's books on I can make you sleep and if you follow it to the letter then it works but not overnight, I never thought I could feel good about myself again but Paul has given me the tools to get my subconscious to react differently and so to get that feel good feeling back. You can get the book and CD comes with it on Amazon, why not give it a try, for a few pounds it might be the beginning of a new you.
Thanks everyone.
I contacted Healthspan (who I bought the 5-HTP and St Johns wort from) and they said they are compatible, but you are advised to stop the 5-htp after 3 months and review how you feel, and then after a month take them again if you feel the need.
So I will take them both for now,but have been told that St johns wort takes 4 weeks untill any benefits are felt?
