Why is it so hard to loose weight
When you think about it it should be easy but its not. I would love to loose 1 stone in time for summer but for some reason I just have not got the will power or whatever needed to even begin to try. I am in good health so should easily be able to loose 1 stone but every day seems like the wrong day to start.
What could be easier than to stop putting more food in your mouth than you need and to leave the junk alone. ???? So why can't I do it. I wish someone would dare me to loose weight and then I might really try.

I am in the same situation as you. I've been saying for years that I am going to go on a diet, but there are to many distractions.
I always wish that I could have a private trainer to help me along. Having said that I told my partner to help me by stopping me from eating unhealthy foods. Last night I ate a Scone and on my second scone she ripped it from my mouth and told me I couldn't have it - I thank for doing it really, as I always regret eating fatty foods after I've eaten it (it's a pity it isn't the other way around).
I been in this job over a year and a half and it's an office job. I am always sitting down, I wish I could have the will power not only to stop eating unhealthy foods but to go to the gym.
A few years ago, when I worked part-time, I went to the gym 3 times a week and lost half a stone in 3 weeks. I Also, I felt more energetic (I'd be doing house work until 11pm at night as I had loads of energy!), happier and more confident - Now I just feel like a Lardy Pork Pie!
why not join a gym with a friend, thats how i joined and found that you motivate each other. once you have been a couple of times it becomes routine and your energy levels will rocket! you can also speak to a trainer to find the best work out circuit for your needs (muscle tone, lose weight, cardio etc)
You may find that after doing exercise you will be less likely to eat bad foods as you will undo all your good work!!
good luck :o)
It's so hard to get motivated, isn't it? Espeically if you aren't particularly over weight, because all your friends tell you not to be silly etc.
I know the feeling, everytime I start to be healthy by the end of the day I end up failing because I have to grab something quick to eat(meaning junk food) because I'm going out with friends, or I've had a terribley day and just want comfort food. Maybe you should try dieting with a friend, or getting a personal trainer. My mum got one and it really motivates you because it's one on one, and if you don't go you still have to pay for the session. Good luck!
aerobics is a good way of losing weight. But in order to be affective, you need to exercise at least 3-4 times a week. Don't push yourself at the beginning to work strenuously, start light and then work harder. I have a very close friend who is a US qualified aerobics instructor and this is the advice she gives her ''clients''. As for diet, she says eat whatever and anything you like, but in moderate quantities. Don't ever starve yourself.
Don't have a weight problem myself, however I find drinking lots of water curbs the tendency to overeat.
OK I have now been 'dared' to loose weight so I will.
My excercise will have to be done early morning or late evening as I am a full time Mum with 2 pre-schoolers so even though I walk every day its always at a snails pace and I never feel tired when I get home.
Don't drink or eat rubbish really (apart from crisps) its just the size of portions I have and the nibbles !!!!!!!
So thats all the excuses out of the way I am now going to seriously get something done. If only I had a pesky fitness freak banging on my door every day who would not take ' Oh i can't make it tonight' for an answer.
Do you think saying I will go for a brisk walk at 6am tomorrow is OTT. The rest of the family found it highly amusing. LOL
