How can I get a girlfriend??!!

I'm about to go in the 11th grade and I haven't had a girlfriend since 8th grade. I really want a gf..I'm not really picky. She just has to be smart and pretty. What can I do to get one or how do I approach a girl and get her to like me?

First off try not to go out with that aim uppermost in your mind. Your desperation will be apparent and you'll probably become too self aware as a result.

Just go make friends with loads of folk and see if there is any mutual attraction between you and any of them, that you both might like to build on.

Meanwhile I suspect it's best to be yourself (or at least a slightly enhanced version of yourself - show your good points) as otherwise she'd have to accept you are not what you seemed, if she opts to stay in the relationship later.
