Appropriate wear to meet old flame
Here's a good one ;-) I have made arrangements to meet an old flame -we dated for a while in our late 20's but it fizzled out due to his roaming eye and me getting work away from home. Anyway - we've been emailing after he got in touch through FB and, as we live in the same area now, have made arrangements to meet up for a coffee - he is divorced, I'm happily married and I'm treating it as a catch up with a bit of curiosity to as what he's turned into.
What do I wear? -I don't want to give the wrong impression and certainly don't want to start any sort of relationship other than platonic - but I want him to realise what he's missed out on ( oh that is so wrong on so many levels but I don't care lol!) My fashion sense is non existent -love Gok and really need Gokking! I get it so wrong - I either look like a granny or a slapper...I'm in my early fifties -help!

Definitely something you feel most comfortable in. You're probably going to experience some strange emotions, so the last thing you want is shoes that are too high, waistband too tight/loose, etc. And it's only coffee, so nothing too fancy otherwise you'll look like you're trying to impress. Keep cool and keep comfy!

yeah it is lol......
i work with a couple of women, one early and one mid 60's... they both always look lovely, they usually just wear jeans and nice tops and dont go overboard with accessories and stuff... they both look smart, fashionable and a bit sassy (not sure if thats the right word sorry) i mean subtly sexy

@pdust - yes -the look I'm going for is just that - sophisticated chic as if I've just thrown something on in a rush. Trouble is I'm no good at putting stuff together -now I'm wondering if I'm making too much of this? Why am i so bothered about impressing this person - Mmmm -shall have to ask hubby what to wear ;-)

I prefer sqad's suggestion in this version better....

The jacket covers up arms, and the dress could be worn with sleek looking boots....surprised sqad did not think of boots......;-))
