I booked to go to an event in may , but it was cancelled with no other date offered. i emailed and asked when it would be rescheduled, was told a date would be available soon. Still no date so i sent an email to the company involved asking for a refund as they were holding onto my money without me knowing even if there was to be another date given and the email was bounced back saying it was permanently unavailable, so i messaged the person through facebook but got no replies. so any advice about next step would be appreciated
TIA

Although I couldn't say with any curtenty, I understood that if a term was blatently unfare it was deemed void!!???
In this case no refunds is a bit unfare.
On Boxtops site that she has given under terms it says at number 16 no refunds will be given. I don't know where you stand with that if you have accepted their terms.
i have been on website sent emails messages on face book next thing i will ring them as for no refunds we'll see this surely is illegall because they have technically broken their contract with me
16. Occasionally, Events or Guest Mediums may change or are cancelled or postponed by Ultimate Paranormal Experience due to weather conditions or situations out of our control. If the event is rescheduled, we will make every effort to ensure you receive a transfer on to another available event. No Refunds will be given.
surely this cannot be enforced i have been in touch and no other time is being given for the event !
They should have ''forseen'' the problems and issued a refund before it was cancelled !!! As to getting your cash back you might just as well contact another 'medium' and see when it's going to happen !
i understand that yes it is funny, but the thing i dont find funny is the fact that they have my money and my hubby has been made redundant and i cant afford to lose the money. well one things for sure if they dont sort it there will be more than noises in the night to contend with !!!! they dont stand a ghost of a chance!
Hmmm how I hate companies like this. I find it interesting that the website was only set up a month ago by Steven Reeves and his 'office' is actually his registered home address. Couldn't find anything on a quick companies house check.
Your cancellation seems to have been a one off, so there is some hope.
My advice would be to accept a credit note for a future attraction. If he doesn't play ball, tell him you plan to go to his local press. Editor of the Malvern Gazette which is Mr Reeves local paper is Peter John 01905 742242.
Oh and when you tell him you plan to go to the local press, say the editors name as though you personally know Peter John rather than 'i'm going to the press'.
