I met a girl some years ago, she asked me out by text and I replied yes via text but she never followed through.
Some years later I ended up bumping into her again. She ended up working freelance at my company and I would see her about once a week.
I've tried to say hello but for some reason she avoids me! I've given up trying to have a conversation with her now. Does anyone know why she keeps avoiding me?
Maybe she was drunk? Maybe she didn't want to hurt your feelings and thought she'd never have to see you again?
Either way (and I mean this in the nicest way possible) she's not interested.
That pretty much answers your question. She's avoiding you because she simply isn't interested. Just move on :-)
a) she really fancies you, but is scared to get into a relationship, b) she was never interested in the first place but she felt overwhelmed by attention or couldn't say no c) did she find something out about you inbetween text and intended meeting?
Not enough detail to come up with a logical reason, any other info that would be helpful?
why not make a joke of the past text and if her response is positive ask her out for a drink for "old times" sake.....................or if she looks embarassed tell her you were flattered but am now settled so can you be friends............??? Good luck Px
Hmmm some really interesting responses. Magsmay, Happyone2 and Always confused, you were right on the money! I had a discussion with said girl (now my girlfriend of six months) and we looked at how potentially we might not have ended up together, because despite her coffee proposition years ago she seemed to be avoiding me. So I ignored her and she started chasing me?? We eventually started to date and she told me that she would run away because 1) She was scared of being in a relationship and 2)Me ignoring her helped up her game. So you guys in particular have some brilliant insight! Cheers again
Why would you need to validate anyone's view points? What would you have done if no one gave you the right answers ? told everyone they were ignorant buffoons? how strange...
