I received a valentine card from mr.c this morning. When I mentioned he hadn't put my name on the card his reply was 'it was on the envelope, wasn't it?' What's the most romantic or unromantic thing your other half has said to you?

Ok psybbo, but If I get a funnier one I might change it, lol!xx
Well on a starlit beach at midnight watching the shooting stars he said "I wish I had met you 15 years ago, with you our children would have had a chance".

As for unromantic - last valentines day or birthday (I don't recall which) he came home with 24 lightbulbs and a new mop.

Although today he rather surpassed himself and he has got lots of brownie points. ;)
Fess up, Barmaid, do tell about today's, make us all jealous
Funny? What's funny about it? - and behave yourself with the 'Best Answer' thing, cupid pal :-)
My wife didn't say this to me but knew I would hear it. She said to a friend " he's a model husband". As I started to mentally preen myself she went on,"of course a model is a small replica of the real thing".
Well this morning I was presented with a bottle of fizz, a box of chocolates, some dahlia tubers (he did say there was naff all point in him buying houseplants cos I kill them so he got me outdoor stuff instead and he KNOWS how I love my dahlias), a book by Gordon Ramsey (my favourite), a gardening book and another cook book.

Plus a lovely card with a sweet handwritten message and a hug and a kiss.

But I LOVED the fact that he thought about it and bought me things I would use and enjoy in the future rather than once a dozen red roses are dead, that's it.
That is so lovely and thoughtful, now I'm giving OH the cold shoulder :-(
I got a box of Thornton's chocolates today, so I can't complain.
What was really funny was he hid them under the piano. So last night I said "Right, i think I may go and have half an hour with the piano" he was trying everything to persuade me not to.
I've not had a valentine card in over 20 years I'm 44 :(
