Neighbours Having Sex At 4Am - What Would You Do ????

In a nut shell:
We've got new neighbours and usually their child wakes us up around 2 - 3am crying (our walls are wafer thin).
However, this morning, we had a "better" wake up call ....... the headboard rocking backward and forward .... creaking away at around 4am (on a weekday), with the odd moan and groan thrown in for good measure.

It's not like they're young randy lil' sods and they can't wait a few hours 'til a reasonable hour - I reckon they're in their fifties.

Just wondering what YOU would do.
1. Do you get your ear plugs out ??
2. Do you bang on the wall and tell 'em to shut the fk up ??
3. Or do u ask your missus if she wants a bit, so you can try and drown out their noises and let them know who's boss ??

I opted for 3, but my missus wasn't up for it, so I had to resort to option 1 ..... although I was VERY tempted with option 2 lol.

What would you do ????

record it and play it back at full volume when they're trying to sleep.

in their 50's and still having sex? tut!

politely ask them to move their bed a few inches away from the adjoining wall. hopefully they'll be mortified enough to keep the noise down in future. that worked with my neighbours.

People in their fifties often have noisy sex but not many have children who wake crying around 2-3am??

Have you any appropriate music to play that they can hear? Or if you see them in the morning why not mention hearing noises?

Just for the record - I know that people in their fifties (and much older) still have regular sex - it's just that I'd expect 4am sex to be off some younger randier couple !!

send a packet of condoms and a pair of old headphones or mufflers next door with the message "whatever protection you are using, change it as it is very noisy"

I think the child is their grandchild - they live next door to their daughter, so I'm assuming they look after him/her some nights .... this must have been the child's night off !!

I hammer on the wall when my neighbours start, I even had a screaming match with the old witch (in the garden a few weeks ago) in which I loudly proclaimed to the whole street that I was sick of having to listen to her bonking noises.

Go round and ask to join in; take the missus if you like; saying that you couldn't sleep and thought that if you can't beat 'em , join 'em, was the best solution.
