Mild Obsessive Compulsive Behaviour
74 Answers
Whilst watching an old episode of 'Friends' the other night, there was a scene where Monica was shown to have slight OCD (the flower pattern on her duvet had to point towards the bed head, because flower 'grow that way')
Got me thinking of my own weird OCD behaviour.
I have to get ALL the bits of foil off the lid of a new jar of coffee before using it. Even the tiniest bit of foil left clinging to the opening bothers me.
And when I wear headphones to listen to music, I HAVE to have the left one going to my left ear and the right one in my right ear - even though it makes bog all difference.
What are your weird OCD behaviours?

When i am typing and while editing part of it I accidentally duplicate a word - I have to delete the new word I typed because the original was already there and doesnt deserve deleting.

I have to wear colour co-ordinated underwear and when the items in my dressing table drawers are colour co-ordinated too. Oh............ and all the rooms in my house are colour co-ordinated.
Also, I always have to use a fountain pen when writing a letter or a card.
So nothing too major but it irks me if things are not as they should be.

Same as Snags and ummmm that respect, but I am not a clean and tidy freak. I do keep putting cushions back in their place on sofas, even when Mr LL gets up from them for a few minutes and I hate it when I come down in the morning and cushions are all over everywhere again. It's totally irrational of me! And the dishwasher has to be stacked as I like it, and he just doesn't do it my way!!
i'm like you mcfluff ... doors, drawers and cupboards doors all open and ajar, stuff all over the place, don't put stuff away straightaway etc
i couldn't care less about stuff like foil on jars, little spills etc, and have no little routines etc.
i am clean etc, just cluttered and untidy.
my boyfriend is a bit OCD though, which is annoying as he tries to force it onto me sometimes... minor little things upset him and he cant relax until things are 'just so' ... not so extreme in terms of, say, exact positioning of an ornament or something, but of stuff like shoes left out or a t shirt left on the couch, or a messy bed, or stuff just left lying about etc
its weird though because there are some things he isnt arsed about, but i am, such as the state of the toilet, or leaving the sink full of dirty dish water, and leaving dish sponges wet and in the water etc, which annoys me, but that is for a reason - it stinks and he doesn't seem to realise that the water will go rancid and get smeared all over the clean plates ... yet, any splashes or crumbs round the sink or on surfaces must be wiped immediately...
it seems to be more 'visual order' rather than a germ thing
