Revenge Or Forgiveness

What gives the most satisfaction?
My niece and myself didnt speak to each other from 2002 until just before xmas 2013 after a major fallout. Making up again was (to borrow an American term) awesome. Eleven years of animosity, over in seconds and much hugging and crying etc and much forgiveness on both sides. After some of the previous cr>p Id been through, this was the best thing that had happened in a long time.
On the other hand, there are certain people, who, if their lives went tits up, I actually think I would be delighted to hear about. I'm not wishing ill on people but cant help thinking that if certain peoples lives went pear shaped, I would crack a beer or two in celebration.

Agreed, revenge is futile but does bring some satisfaction in a perverse kind of way. I defy anyone to say otherwise.

Hmmmm, could be-ee!
And it's Hypo; the n is after the g.
Hypo "under"
gnosis "knowledge"
As in "I don't know enough".
By the way, have you considered how the products you buy can afford to pay millions for TV advertising? You've no idea how much you're paying for those channels. At least with the Beeb it's a known amount. Once they scrap the licence fee, they'll just be more advertising for us all to pay for.
Know when you've got it good and don't fix what isn't broken. ;-)

My apologies hypo for misspelling ur name.
As for the BBC, no, I will not buy a license. If others want to give to the establishment that enslaves them (look up bread and circuses ) then that is not my doing.
I had a previous encounter with TV lisencing where they even persued me to prison where it was obvious I could not pay (there imaginary) fines as I was locked up. Ive stated beforfe. and I'll state it again, there is no way that you have to have a tv lisense,

Your assertions may be right, naillit but I will have to do my own research, into the unenforcibility of fines or the need to have a licence at all.
All I know is there are an awful lot of jobs out there where lack of a criminal record is quite high up the requirements lists. Your suggestion comes across as a ploy, to make thousands of other people follow suit, only to make themselves equally unemployable as yourself, in order to level the playing field. Crafty!
Given they're letting murderers out after 8 years and rapists after 4 years, I think imprisonment for non-payment of fines is just plain disproportionate. Bailiff action (removal of TV receiver unit/s) should be punishment enough.
On the other hand, if we all stopped paying and employers changed their hiring requirements to match, we could have lowest-common-denominator programmes on all channels and I could be freed, at long last, from the tyranny of the fascinating box in the corner.
