How Long Does Valium Stay In The System For?

Hi there I'm off on my travels today not a good traveller and I get this pre agitation several days before I have to go Friday night Saturday night and Sunday night I took 5 mg valium to help didn't really help last night I had the screaming ab dabs in terms of agitation so I took 7.5mg before I went to bed and another 5 in the middle of the night feeling a bit calmer but it seems to wear off quite quickly maybe because I'm quite large bmi 40 how long does it take for valium to stay in the system for and for it to wear off and how long should it take for it to affect you not planning on taking it while travelling but in case I need to

You are using sensible doses
Offset is more complex - it looks as though there is still half the dose still inside you the day after. [ Technogeeks says the half life is around 40 h ].
There is therefore a pronounced hang over effect

As may well know, Valium is known to have some disturbing "side" effects and also very serious withdrawal symptoms. You would need to consciously factor these in against any benefits from taking it. Some people with experience of this drug are firmly against it being administered/available as they say it has destroyed long periods of the lives of the "patients" and in some cases all the rest of their lives.
