Do you have endearing above or unendearing. I have 3 or 4 spoilt brats you really couldnt like them but am very fond of the parents so have to pretend you love them - yeah right.

We all have to feign politeness in family situations sometimes, those Grand Nieces/Nephews I have I rarely see so cannot comment too much on how endearing they are.

hi Anne - well I wouldn't truly hurt the parents. They are only kids themselves at 30 and whatever. At this point I am worried about a nephew of 33 who seems to be shackled to this girl (I don't know her personally) he has a little girl to her and he called to my sister at the weekend and I know he is very unhappy. Now that dad has died and mother too and there is loggerheads over the family home - he goes from the family home to the girlfriend and then she throws him out and he goes back to family home where other son and his girl is and they don't want him and so it goes on. I just worried about his instability - by the way sorry this has gone to rambling.

Conne you can't take on their problems for them..have a wee word with him and let him know if he needs you you are there...interfering can backfire on you ! even if it is well meant....xx

Yes, Murray is right - we worry all the time for the younger ones.

The hardest thing to do ever is to let them go to make their mistakes but at the same time telling them we are there if they fall.


I found it hard with my own Children but it all worked out.

it's difficult for you conn. but as minty says, in the circumstances there is maybe not much you can do, I know you worry about you brothers family.

Murray - you wouldnt believe it when I ask and ask and ask not in a furious way - they just say everything is ok - you just know by their body language something is not right. They know we are there for them - all of them bless them - they have been through hell and back.

God bless those that had happy childhoods cos they sure didn't.

Anne - we my sister and I worry about him at 33 - hope he doesn't do anything foolish cos we think there is nothing going for him and he is sure is a hell of a good looking guy if I may say so - George Clooney look alike. God love him.

Anne I don't understand the brackets thing - yes he would have a mobile but when you ring they never ever answer - it goes to voicemail.
