Why Didn't He Accept My Friend Request?

There was this guy I liked. I met him a few times over six months. First time through a friend. Second time at a dinner party and a couple of times after that. The last two times he came up to me and chatted and I assumed we had a rapport. So a few months later I sent him a friend request but he declined it.

What confused me more was that he has over 2000 friends on his friends list. Some of whom he also met at the dinner party, but barely spoke too.

So why did he decline me?

Why not simply ask him if he considers you friends, if it is that important for you to know for sure ?

I often get friend requests through from people I barely know. I decline them. I like my friends to be exactly that, not to make up the numbers on facebook.

Maybe, like me, he's seen your previous questions on here and is nervous of what he's dealing with - which is very unclear.

There's nothing sad about it,looking at previous questions is just a click and probably done by a large number of site members. Gives us more of a feel of the situation.
