Want to do something inexpensive and yet romantic with my other half this weekend. Anyone have any ideas?

What about the London Eye. Not sure of the cost.

Go to the south bank...have a wander down it slowly and let the cold air nip your nose. Find a cosy pub that looks onto the Thames and have a couple of drinks and chat - Take your time... Then find a good old fashioned chip shop. Get a supper each and wander home again.

Cheap, Easy...Lovely.

You could do worse that walk through the parks - St James's (my favourite), followed by Green Park and then Hyde Park, to go round the Serpentine. There's a new(ish) restuarant/cafe in St James's that's had good reviews.

Kite flying on Parliament Hill or in Blackheath.

Walking the river from/to Richmond and Kew.

Walk through the City - St Paul's, the Lloyd's building, Foster's Gherkin, Bank of England, Mansion House, Royal Exchange (not in this order) and end up at St Katherine's dock by the Tower of London for a drink.

Have a nice weekend.

A walk along the Embankment after dark, looking at all the lights across the river and the city.

A boat trip down the Thames.

A walk through any London park, particularly St James where you can feed the ducks.

The Christmas lights are on around Harrods and Knightsbridge, so window shopping after dark may be an option.

Ice skating at Sommerset House?? I think the rink is now open.

london eye is great and well worth a visit not expensive and glorious views. why not go and see a play theres some great ones on and cut price set offers. national gallery is worth a visit next to trafagar square places to enjoy each others company and share views on paintings etc could be fun and free admission, there's lots to do in London.
