Bought a morohybRichards soup maker last July, it broke ,I rang them and they were very kind giving me a replacement, that was November 11th, none came and I kept getting emails apologising for the delay with excuses such as thd floods in North Yorkshire where there distribution centre is, okay, fair enough I thought, now, one arrives yesterday and another today, I explained to the driver I had one but he said there’s a cancelled one on my van but this one is yours? I now have two of them, I’ve rang up ( again) to say I don’t want another one ”Oh Mrs J :0) , we’ve refunded you your £70-97” yes but I have two now,” Have a nice day Mrs J” !!!!!! , goodbye :0/

Life is just great, is it not. But in saying that I'm surprised your house as not exploded with what you mix together. ho ho ho and ho.
Several times Amazon has told me to keep an item that I wanted to return and given me a full refund. I think their customer service is second to none.

I will keep it to see if they get in touch about it
Going on past experience, sooner or later someone will realise what's happened, and will be in touch for the return.
My brother once waited in all day Friday for delivery of one of those music stacks in a smoked glass fronted cabinet thingummyjigs from a local retailers. It didn't arrive so he and his wife called at the shop the next day and picked one up, together with profuse apologies from the manager and a slight reduction in price. While they were out, their son took delivery of a music stack in a smoked glass fronted cabinet thingummyjig. My brother put it in an upstairs cupboard, intending to return it to the shop. It was still there a couple of months later so - with no word from the shop - he sold it to me for half the original price. Win win:-)
And i've just remembered another occasion when, setting up home for the first time, we had ordered a full dinner service from Littlewoods catalogue - other catalogues are available. Only half arrived so i rang them and complained. A couple of days later, a full set arrived. So, for the price of one, we had one and a half:-).

I am a bit wary of keeping anything I haven't paid for so like TC says, hopefully they will see their mistake as phoning them doesn't work
I don't believe in keeping something that one as not paid for, it is a form of stealing, in your case Bobbs you've done what you can to give the item back, keep any emails you've sent them, or record of notification, after 6 months or so consider its yours. ho ho ho :0)
Bobbi I think you should keep it, you'll need it when your replacement breaks;-)
Amazon do that a lot, I think it basically isn't worth their while to worry too much. They know and they don't want it back. It's yours x
Works the other way around as well.
I just realised that I am still awaiting an order from a inkjet and stationery company that I use on-line. They boast of their speedy delivery and are indeed fast.
I asked the wife if our order had gone through the bank and it had on the 5th. I just rang with my order no. to enquire and I am now told the item is out of stock. Didn't stop them taking my money pdq though. Grrrrr
For the sake of sending me a small square piece of perspex ,a tiny hinge and four small bolts, nuts and washers I was sent, from Germany, a complete new bench grinder and sander which I had bought from Lidl minus those few parts.
Give it to a deserving cause .
Have you got a homeless shelter that could use the spare one?
Teacake, so you don't believe in keeping something that one hasn't paid for and consider it a form of stealing. So, no matter hwo ow long you wait - a month, 2, 6? - why is it no longer stealing?
