Is there anybody like me. When I dry off a few dishes etc I cannot use that drying cloth again - it goes into washing. It does leave me short of drying towels. Should I be so fussy. In my head I just think - oh there are germs on it.

I've used the same t-towel since 1978, they were loads of others in the skip though, but that one smelt fresh.

If you were that fussy you wouldn't use a towel at all - you would air dry or use kitchen paper then pop the kitchen paper in the compost bin or recycling
Yes you are, same as those who use a fresh towel after every shower. Just hang them to dry.
why would there be germs on the tea towel ?
you have just washed the dishes in hot soapy water
i never dry up with a cloth (cause i have a dishwasher)
The obvious solution for you would be to buy more tea towels
We are what we are jj. Buy more tea towels .

I do buy them on a regular basis but then the old ones do become old and they have to be thrown out. ok thanks guys for your expert advice LOL
it takes about 10 years for mine to become old. But then I do dry very gently.
I also never use a tea towel to dry anything. Either it's dry from the dishwasher or it dries naturally in a sink rack.

I have a dishwasher too bednobs but sometimes there could be little drops - ach everybody has their wee idiosyncrasies
jenny I can't see how your tea towels could have germs on them after being used to dry your dishes. That means your dishes must have germs on them....it doesn't make sense really. Live dangerously and save the planet :o))

apg - yeeha - I'm off to do that - enjoy myself cos it's later than you think. lOL
I always air dry. No dishwasher here either. Life is too short to dry by hand.
My old ones always used as rags. Dishes left to drain and dry. Glasses get a tea towel wipe to look better.
ps to answer your actual q "is there anyone like me", i suspect there is not :)
