Can Magic Eye Pictures Help Correct Double Vision Etc?
8 Answers
ive been left with double vision - after taking gabapentin just after a bout of shingles
its been a few years now and it wont go away.
i just cannot focus on an object & see only 1 of them - the 2 images seem to move about & wont stay still.
its very bad in the morning - probably because ive been dreaming & my eyes have been crossed - ive realised if wake up naturally, its not as bad as if i am woken by may alarm - i assume because im not in rem sleep when i wake naturally.
just wondering if magic eye pictures could help?
i know thats about relaxing your eyes, defocussing & then focussing differently etc.
i can see them fine but dont want to do loads of them & make my DB worse
any thoughts?
thanks

i have low blood pressure, its from the gabapentin - thats why i stopped taking them.
im getting a pair of spex with a prism, but dont know how they'll help if it changes all day.
do they 'fix' it? i thought they were only useful when youve got them on?
i dont really want to start wearing glasses all the time - i only wear them for driving

Hi joko, I've had this on n off for about 15 years, the only way I could get on with things was to tilt my head back or forwards to find a sweet spot where my eyes would line up. It was always my left eye seeing slightly higher or lower than the right, so annoying and worrying. I had a checkup twice in hosp, they couldn't say what it was. However, since being put on blood pressure tabs for an unrelated matter, my sight is appears more settled with the odd time like when I first awaken or feel tired, even then it passes. Jennyjoan may have something there, hope you get sorted.
thanks all
JJ - i just close one eye, and im also only going short distances to places i know, i wouldnt go anywhere else
im going to get prisms, but i dont wear glasses normally so i dont really want to have to start wearing them just for this
i had my bp checked - its actually on the low side, but i have the same thing about head down-looking up, or head up looking down, ive noticed its almost like an almond shaped bit in the middle where the item splits into 2, then joins up again at the bottom
im going to mention that to them at the hosp
