Melanie* told Fiona* that Yvette* talks about me and Fiona behind our backs. Fiona said Yvette has said some terrible things about me and Fiona. I told Fiona I don't want to know what she said and that I can't believe it as I've been so good to Yvette helping with her work and giving things when she's needed it. What's the best way to work along someone you know has said some awful things behind your back for no reason? Yvette is on leave this week but is back next week. Shall I just keep quiet and professional and pleasant with her? Fiona said she couldn't care less what Yvette's said about her, but I'm not as robust as that (sad face).
I believe you said in a previous post that you are a temp? Having done temp work on and off for several years, I know only too well the "nastiness" that can be found among a group of office workers. Go into work, get on with your work, be pleasant and don't get involved with the tittle-tattle.
