I have been locked out of my main email account 'for my security' I can't prove my identity to get it re-instated because the provider wants me to do it by either a mobile phone number which I ceased to use years ago, or by the very email which they (Telekom) have locked me out of!! - never believe in the myth that the Germans are efficient.
One of the myriad of problems this has produced is that my address book of email contacts can only be accessed by opening the email account.
Is it possible to see that address book, - which must be somewhere on my computer - without opening the Telekom email account please?

They have an online 'contact' page, where in theory, you can write to them, I have written 4 times over a fortnight and had no reply whatsoever.
Everything is now being run by robots, there are no humans involved anymore.
Though there are good robots and bad ones; yesterday I changed my email address for Amazon - a superb site as you will know - it was a smooth simple operation, that has been the reason for their success, but then they are of course an American company.
You can download your GMail address book, I do it regularly to make sure my copy is up to date.

I'm sure you've given GMail your current phone number, make sure you update the details when necessary. I have also given GMail a back up email address. Necessary to prove who I am if I'm hacked.
