Ab Membership Christmas Party Venue And Suggestions

As some of you may know, the venue for the AB Christmas party tomorrow night has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, can anyone suggest an alternative which will hold at least 25 people (the current number of rsvp) and do a reasonably priced buffet which doesn't include pork scratching or potted shrimps? And has a late licence until 9pm for those who want to make a night of it?

The MOFC Castle would be ideal, spacetime, but not sure about the contents of the moat and the size of the spiders in the hall.

There are plenty of last minute tickets at reduced prices...in fact, AB will give you a free first drink if you attend with or without a ticket.

For those who've not received an invite, it must have got lost in the post, you know what the post is like at Christmas 😉

Oh yes, MOFC castle sound perfick, manky moats and spiders 🕷️ can be overcome with some dudicious spraying and shovelling. And after a couple of advocats (miffy, I defo saw a bottle) no one will notice either the pungent pong or the creepy crawlyness

There's an old, now disused, telephone box near me which woukd fit 25 (small) people in, granted at a squeeeeeeezzzzzze. The smell of stale p iss hasn't faded; in fact, if anything, it's grown more eye-wateringly acrid down the years.

Not much of a venue but the view of the backs of council estate houses, and the noise of all-day drinkers weaving their way home, continuously shouting in French, easily makes up for that. What's more, you can stay as long as you like, or until you all get cramp in parts of your body you didn't think would ever cramp up.

Miffy, it'd be good to get rid of some of the case of advocat that's been hanging around..err, maturing..for the last few years so I'm sure a Steiner or two would be available should you be able to suffer/drink it.

now you're talking, a disused telephone box sounds perfect, with on site entertainment of the French variety thrown in for free. Give me the Whatthreewords for it and I'll get down there to decorate it early tomorrow. Dyou think a couple of 70th birthday banners and a deflated birth congrats balloon would be ok, doesn't really matter does it? The joy is the same...🥳

Although bitterly disappointed not to receive an invitation, I recommend the Plaza Laundrette where the wet blankets go ... steaming and rolling around. Water always on tap to dilute your "bring your own" tipple. KFC next door.

Though no invitation received, I can recommend as a venue the Plaza Laundrette which caters for wet blankets, always steaming and rolling around. Dryers available for those who cannot hold their water.  😃
