Is that possible at all, and can such a person establish traditional prosperous wife, who will born him a child? Do you know any precedent?

It can be done and there are many examples.  Whether it is a suitable basis for happiness is another matter.  Living a lie is not a piece of cake.

Haven't you asked this before in one of your many reincarnations, landF?

I doubt if a gay man can become "straight" in the sense that he will not become heterosexual. A gay man is capable of fathering a child and many do. Some will also have a marriage of convenience.

He'll have to be straight, fairly rigid too, for the mechanics of conception, unless the baster's coming out of course.

I think in the old days it was frowned apon to even admit that your gay, and that goes for both male and female.

So lots of gay men married a woman and had children the whole package, and later came out as gay much later. Philip Scofield springs to mind, there are many others.

Even Freddie Murcury had a girlfriend, so too did George Michael.

So a gay man doesn't turn straight, just as a straight man or woman turns gay.

They might just have been bisexual all along.

More than frowned upon, it was illegal in the days of Oscar Wilde and Alan Turing.

i suspect most gay men can go through the physical act of sex with a woman and many have out of social pressure or denial. it isn't what they like or want however by definition and is usually a recipe for unhappiness. lots of "ex gays" claim to be cured of their urges but it is obvious if you do even a tiny bit of research that they are lying.

It's perfectly possible for a gay man to have a straight relationship and have children. It's known as being bisexual.

No.

A gay man has no more chance of becoming straight than a straight man has of becoming gay.

Maydup,

Except theres a difference in being gay and bisexual, and indeed straight.

For example I am a straight male who has no sexual interests in men at all, in fact I find the thought repulsive.

But some people can be sexually attacted to either male or female.

I know a woman in her 30's who has a boyfriend and girlfriend. Some would ultimately call that cheating, but they are all in agreement.

I don't agree with that behaviour myself, as who knows what any of them are doing behind whos back, but there you go. It takes all sorts.

//It's perfectly possible for a gay man to have a straight relationship and have children. It's known as being bisexual. //

Not really. It's known as being a gay man that has fathered children.

I think we're splitting hairs here! I know plenty of people who have had both opposite sex relationships and same sex  relationships. Some of them have children. Whatever label we give them the answer to the original post it that yes, a gay man can establish a relationship with a woman and have children.

But theres the conception of if someone is bisexual they are more likely to cheat on their wife, husband, partner, because they want the best of both worlds because obviously the temptation is higher.
