The way that you split up the journey will depend, in part at least, upon how many drivers you've got in the vehicle to share the workload.  With at least two drivers, you could do it with just one stopover in, say, Ghent.  Otherwise it might be better to take a first night's break in Kent, with a second night in either Dortmund or Hanover.
