Yes, 'browned off' or sometimes 'cheesed off' are phrases I quite often hear.

I had a conversation with a Dutch National who, naturally, spoke beautiful English; she made me smile when she told me that she was 'browned off' about something. She was immediately embarrassed and asked if she had said the wrong thing. Although I explained that it was a perfectly acceptable way of phrasing something, I often wonder if that was the last time she said it.

I do, also cheesed off and ticked off.

It started on the RAF in the 1930s, apparently
