If she is English, she could be connected to some of Hitler's family who lived in Liverpool. There is no reason to believe that they shared Hitler's views and in any case he died 61 years ago. Live for the present and accept her for what she is now.
Though why this Q was removed is a mystery.
Hitler is not a common name in Germany or Austria and is far more common in the USA.
Variations of Hitler in Germany would be Hittler (double T) or Heidler.
Hitler had no children and I would think the line had died out by now .
If you think a lot of your girlfriend why should her name worry you.!

Just for the record, Hitler was born in 1889 in Branau am Inn which was in Austria-Hungary but was under Bavarian authority. Bavaria had joined the Second Reich in 1871, so many authorities consider that he was German by birth. He joined the Bavarian Army for the 1914-1918 war, but subsequent doubts were raised about his nationality. In order to be qualified for public office, he became a naturalised German in the winter of 1932-33, so was definitely not Austrian during his period in power.
