Why on earth not?

I've not had any of my questions or answers deleted from AB, but someone posted something up about AB deleting posts that are too 'chatty' ...... are we not allowed to be chatty then?
I think theres some really interesting people on here, and said 'chatting' is a positive thing that brings people together.
Risking life and limb no doubt, i intend to conduct an experiment........

scruffscat and wiccankitten yeah they get monitored by the Ed, after some confusion over the last few months (long story- don't ask!) The Ed confirmed that she doesnt mind the odd chatty-ish thread as long as if there was/is a Q somewhere in it!

If chattiness is taken too far, Answerbank could lower itself to the level of the chat rooms that I have seen. People seem to spend their days saying hello and goodbye to each other and describing the bodily functions for which they will be absent from their keyboards.

The Editor will delete posts that stray too far from the original Question. There was a 'Chatterbank' sectiob ut ihas been removed, because I understand the time taken to monitor it effectively was deemed inappropriate, given that there are plenty of specific 'chat' sites, and this site, by defintion, is a Q & A site.

The ED deletes answers at the request of the questioners. Some people feel that they should only recieve answers that massage their over sensitive egos and obviously take exception to anything that criticises them for being the shallow brain dead frauds they are.

Ahhh, thats fair enough i suppose. I agree, nobody wants to end up with the pathetic personals you get in some chat rooms, but its nice to be friendly.
So totally agree with you on that one Gammaray!!! If people put questions, answers or comments up, they should be prepared for contraversy! I like debates!

I retract my ealier statement, i have now had a post banned! Fair enough ED, i can understand your opinion it might not be such a good idea to post pictures.
