The Curse of Loosehead

On many occasions, I have noticed that Mrs. Loosehead answers a perfectly reasonable question with "Do you mean, or?" followed by some weird reasoning that the person who is asking the question is some sort of simpleton. Now I see on a recent post by someone who is being forced to pay an extortionate rate of interest, that someone else says "Do you really mean 42% - yes forty-two, or do you mean 4.2%. It is perfectly obvious that the person asking the question knows the difference, so why indicate that they are so ignorant?. Even someone with a good credit-rating would be lucky to get a loan at 4.2% let alone someone who is struggling. I just wanted to point this out as people asking for advice should not be treated as a simpleton.

Admittedly I restrict myself to only 4 or sections on AB, but I can't say I've ever noticed this tendency in Mr L. He certainly never treats people on Sport as if they're simpletons and usually gives pretty concise and sometimes quite humourous answers :o) Could this dumbing down be something he feels the need to do only on specific topics? Not that I'm trying to imply for a second that those on Sport are smarter than those on Money or other topics....not sure I could provide much evidence to back up that theory anyway....;o)

I am studying for a PhD, and I have the biggest (and last) exam of my life on Monday. I am not exaggerating when I say that the result of this exam will affect the rest of my life. No pressure though!!Ahhhhhhhhhhhh......
