the worst song has to be lady in red, it somes up all that was bad in the eighties, it has to be the most the hideous piece of music that has ever been wriiten, even worse than a cliff richard song.

oh my goodness, have you heard "Honey I miss you" by Bobby Goldsboro, pure puke, so cheesy it should have called "Stilton I miss you"

xxx
I'll probably get a barrage of abuse from all the housewifes, but for me it has to be Bon Jovi's 'Always'. What a load of soft rock cack.

And who could forget Whitney's 'I will always love you'.
....and doncha just love that line;

"....ask you if wanted to d-ah-nce.
Looking for a little ro-mah-nce"

AAArrggghhhhh !!!!!
You really are forgetting the wonders that were Rick Astley, Tiffany and Belinda Carlisle.

in the words of john macenroe you cannot be serious, they were paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaants with a capital P, i mean to say he did not even sing, he did a rex harrison, whitney huston, oh puleeze.
so posiedon
whats wrong with Whitney, wait till she has her looks back and starts singing again YOU'LL BE SORRY you ever dissed her.

Baby Jane

she never get her looks back, she likes the marching powder a little too much, hope she gets permanent tonsilitus.
I like the proper version of I Will Always Love You - the sweet, understated, genuinely emotional original by Dolly Parton - but Whitney's completely Hollywood OTT 120 decibel shoutathon is absolute cack IMO.

Just before Baby Jane gets all medieval on my ass (whatever that means), I will agree with her about Honey by Bobby Goldsboro. It first came out when I was in the womb, and was one of my mum's favourites. No wonder I've ended up such a twisted, emotionally scarred wreck.
Hey, what about the vomit inducing LUCKY STARS by Dean Friedman & Denise Marsa?

How you doing LoM?

had a good laugh at your reply. I will agree with about Dolly Parton she does sing it so nice. I am off to see her live in March.
xx
Enjoy the show, Baby Jane - Dolly's a legend! ;-)

BDW - I'm doing well thanks, now the flu's finally subsiding. Good call on Lucky Stars - I'd forgotten about that monstrosity. Although how could anyone forget a rhyming couplet like:

I may not be all that bright
But I know how to hold you tight

Yaaarrggghh!!
just remembered Lucky Stars, what a stinker that was. My mum used to play honey I miss you over and over till it was inbedded in my head. Lets here some more of your favourite cack Lom

Hurray someone agrees with me, just thought of another one, orville (awful) the duck and i wish i could fly, tell you what if that duck came next to me it would certainly fly (BOOT POWER), what about celine (cats choir) dion, everytime she sings moice throw themselves on to traps, i would go down with titanic just to get away from her singing, what about renee & renata (yeeeuch), now that one was really bad,

question to anybody
can they tell me the name of the song which a man and a woman singing about how much they love each other,
some of the lyrics are
and i love you , i know you do, do you love , yes i do,
its a duet, it was knocking around in the 70's
please please can anybody tell me because it has to be worst song in the world, i defy anybody to disagree.
Question Author
just found out what is lucky stars, did'nt realise it was called that, its so bad really, really, really, really, really, bad.

remember seeing it when i was a kid, even then i thought it was bad. sorry if anyone was racking there brains trying to think of it.
OK then, maybe not a terrible song as such (I know a lot of people love it), but one that has always got right on my tonsils. Where Do You Go To My Lovely by Peter Sarstedt - firstly because it seems to last for about an hour, and secondly for that awful pseudo-Noel Coward nonsense he's got going on.

Where do you go to, my lovely
When you're alone in your bed
Tell me the thoughts that surround you
I want to look inside your head
Oh yes I do, a ha ha ha...

Cobblers.

You talk like Marlene Dietrich
And you dance like Zizi Jeanmaire

Oh, do shut up.
The only reason I like Lady in Red is because it gave rise to Mitchell and Webb's hilarious parody, Table of Reds:
