Painful sex is quite common, and as melons has said it can be for a variety of reasons. I dont think infection is an issue unless you have an accompanying discharge. Answers to the following may help-
Are you sexually experienced?
Do you feel 'wet' down below before penetration?
Is your boyfriend particularly well endowed?
What positions are you using, and are some more painful than others?
I often experience a bit of pain, mainly due to my boyfriend being quite 'big' and getting carried away lol!! Your last answer probably hits the nail on the head, you are maybe too tense. If the above questions dont lead you to think it could be related to any of these issues then I would follow melons advice and get checked out, maybe by your practice nurse in the first instance if you feel more comfortable with that.

I have just seen from your other post that you are 16. For that reason Im guessing that it is probably just a case of being nervous. Talk to your boyfriend, make sure you take things slow and have plenty of foreplay. Sex is not all about penetration, the other stuff is just as much fun and helps you relax and get used to your body. I dont want to lecture, but make sure you get contraception sorted, Im sure you have done anyway :)
hi.. thanks for all your advice. i dont think its an infection because im fine apart from during sex. im quite experienced id done it quite a few times. Im always wet but we dont really do foreplay that much before or we dont do it at all. He is rather erm big, so that may be why. Ill try relaxing and if it still hurts ill talk to my mum about it. Thanks :) xxx
Not to worry you but pain during sex is a symptom of the STI Chalymidia. Apart from VERY subtle symptoms, there are no other signs of being infected. Painful sex and bleeding during or after sex are both symptoms. If you have had unprotected sex with your fella, I would STRONGLY suggest you nip down to see a nurse at your doctors surgery. Chalmydia is a bit scary because it's normally symptomless but it can cause your fallopian tubes to be scarred which leads to fertility problems. If you are bleeding during or after sex as well as the pain, you should go get tested.
