My mother wants to find a man!!!! Eeeek. Basically she's completely technophobic so I'm sorting out her profile etc. We had a look at Match.com but to be able to send decent messages etc you have to subscribe. I'm looking for reputable, free websites where we can message freely but need it to be free of spam etc. Can anyone suggest anywhere to try?

Personally, i would be more inclined to pay for the subscription, then you are more likely to meet s/one decent. (Plus you would know if they are 'tight as a duck's rear-end!!')
I just think it's more likely that the people are more serious if theyre willing to pay the subscription, rather than just 'on a free website chatting up the birds?'
I think i would feel safer knowing they had paid for the privilege of chatting to me and/or other women. Maybe it's just me but i'm very wary.
