Hi there. Would like some ideas on something relatively cheap, easy and quick to cook for my boyfriend tomorrow night. Has to be cheap as on a shoestring budget at the moment due to upcoing holiday, easy as am a bit of a novie in the kitchen and quick so I don't spend all night in the kitchen! Thanks in advance for your suggestions (if any). x

Pasta is cheap, why not try macaroni cheese, very simple. You can even make the cheese sauce from a packet mix.If you want to add bacon put some lardons (cooked) underneath the macaroni.
Just get some spam fritters from the supermarket and serve them with chips and egg LOL
Try pasta carbonara
Buy some fresh pasta, mushrooms, palma ham, an onion, mixed herbs, 1/2 pint of single cream, olive oil

Chop the garlic, onion, mushrooms and lightly fry in a saucepan with olive oil until mushrroms are cooked, add single cream, reduce heat and simmer and stir until sauce thickens, then add palma ham
dunk the fresh pasta into boiling water, add a splash of olive oil, bubble away for no more than five mins, drain, on a plate, add carbonara sauce, eat and enjoy
Stir fry, chop up some chicken and whatever veg you like. Add sauce if you want, or it is nice without sauce
I love spaghetti and swedish meatballs. You get them in asda and I just add some of the sacla sun dried tomato paste. Is really yummy and cheap. You could do it without the meatballs(they are about 1.70 and would do more than one meal). Could have the spaghetti, paste and some veg or just a fillet of chicken through it?
