Inpersonation and entrapment
If i had been suspended at work would it be lawful for my deputy governor to pretend to be me via a text message conversation with an unknown person on a mobile number that was left for me ( i don't know the number). During the conversation he pretends to be me and makes comments that try to trap the other person in to saying that he knows me and that I do unprofessional favours for him. Wuld this be legal and is it classed as entrapment

To assume your identity is not acceptable, and is almost certainly illegal. If this has happened, you need to take legal advice. If you are a member of a trades union, they will assist you. If you are not a member of a trades union, this intrusion on your privacy surely tells you that you should be. However 'unprofessional' you have been, (if that is the case) it does not give him/her the right to invade your privacy nor assume your identity. Take action. Do not allow this to happen. You defend us all by denying this intrusion.
Am I to assume that you work in a prison? Are you a member of the POA, if so, speak to them. How do you know that the Dep pretended to be you in a text? Gather facts first, and tread carefully. If my experience of Deputy Governor's is anything to go by, they are all looking for a way to take the next step, and don't care who they use.
Good luck.
