My boyfriend and i were texting each other this morning and then i didnt get a text back for a while so i text him asking if work was busy and the rest of the texts went as follows; BF: I was driving, dont worry, love you xx Me: wasnt worried xx BF: fine f*ck you then, you f*cking stupid cow Me: what was that 4? BF: joking xxx
So i phoned him and was like why say that, its not funny and then he starts saying 'cant i have a joke with you' and then said i was being pathetic getting upset. I do hacve a sense of humour but really dont understand how that could be funny. That was a couple of hours ago and we havent spoke since - am i overreacting or is he completely out of order?
see fine f**k you then with a smilie you could take as a joke being said in a sarchastic way but with you stuoid cow and no smilies well thats different. But really you arent going to dump him over this so no need for anyone to be in right or wrong just let it blow over. what will not speaking really accomplish?
Id have accepted a 'fine. sod ya then :)' from my fella as he knows my sense of humour. But to add the stupid cow bit on the end, I wouldnt accept that at all and would certainly be asking him why he sent it when i saw him. Not sure it would cause me to end a relationship but that would depend on how other things seemed and it would certainly be a bad mark for him.
thats what i'm thinkin - if he had just put 'fine f*ck you then!' i would have took it as him messing around but the stupid f*cking cow part just makes it sound nasty - and he didnt put an exclamation mark or any kisses etc (i know that sounds really silly)i'm not considering finishing with him over it and am not ignoring him (just havent been in contact since lunch but just wondered if this is something most people would find funny and i'm being to uptight...
He did just text saying he loves me - but i didnt get an apology!!
Mr Le Chat has never called me that in all these years, joking or not! It is really quite hideous.
However, I would have replied " ... Ok, I'll f*ck off then,you f*ck faced f*cker!"
I must admit I'd be bloody furious too if my husband called me that on a text. What's the joke? Then not to apoligise just isn't on.
I wouldn't say your over reacting but agree with 4get that what's the point in making an arguement out of it but I do think you need to let him know it upset you and try to make him see why, cos really the f'ing stupid cow on the end wasn't funny at all.
Your reply made me laugh tho Le Chat lol Remind me never to get you mad! ;o)
I wouldnt argue about it but if you didnt find it funny then i would just say what you said upset me and i'd appreciate it if you didnt do it again. If he cares about your feelings then he would appologise after this. Then forget it, its not worth it.
I dont think you are being uptight it wasnt nice and it wasnt funny, some blokes have a strange sense of humor!
well ladies can I give you the blokes take on this. He's a bit Ott with what he said but consider your "wasn't worried" comment. The problem is that text is a very poor medium for this kind of communication. Your "Not worried" after he said "Love you" can translate into, "I don't really give a toss about you because you love me and this is a one sided relationship". See what I'm getting at? you cannot detect tone in a text message. When you called he realised he'd misread the situation and had to back peddle. Just food for thought!
Find a decent bloke who doesn't have to resort to gutter language for someone he supposedly loves. It wasn't funny and wasn't clever.........get rid girl!!
i would bloody go mad,no need to call you a stupid cow, thats crossing the line. what did you do or say for him to say that to you?! nothing. if that was my fella he'd be gone, just wouldnt answer him, you'd soon get a response from him if he cared
