Which songs bring a little lump to you throat? Probably the same ones that you put on when you're feeling low, just to make yourself feel even more low (strange beings that we are!)

I probably have an endless list of them but at the moment I can only think of rather embarassing ones, namely 'Feed the birds' from Mary Poppins and most of the 2 hours worth of music from Les Miserables

So, what's yours? (I can't see youtube links or anthing so if your posting clips tell me what it is!)

all by myself..............eric carmen.
Ha I know exactly what you mean !

I also feel the same about les miserables, but mine has got to be Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley.
Mine used to be 'When Love Breaks Down' by Prefab Sprout. but I've grown out of feeling sorry for myself now.

Twenty Years to Go - Placebo.
If work related Rosegrove by Clawfinger hits the spot.. oh, no that just makes me angry.

Losing more than I'll ever have - Primal Scream
Another vote for 'All by myself'
I knew there was one more

Everyday is Like Sunday - Morrissey
Dance with my father - luther Vandross
Mike & The Mechanics - Another Cup of Coffee
Time - Pinkf Floyd, only because it summed up my situation of being stuck in a rut neck deep.

also johnny cash - hurt
boyz 11 men one sweet day,
One sweet day always makes me feel sad. My friend lost someone in the Army and that was at his funeral!

Makes you think about who you've lost ; - (
my father passed way when R kelly had "i believe i can fly", but ethal's 1 was good, "dance with my father" the reggae version by don campbell, classic song.
Hallelujah, and Suzanne , both by Leanord Cohen

Wires , Athlete

back to black , amy winehouse

hurt , johnny cash

Good choices ermintrude especially "Hurt". I like both the Johnnie Cash and the original Nine Inch Nails versions.
Most things by Leonard Cohen have that effect on me.
I also like "Always on my Mind" (the Willie Nelson version although Elvis' is good too).
"Streets of London" by Ralph McTell was a tearjerker as was "Old Brown Dog"
On a classical note Elgars "Nimrod" from the Enigma Variations is a real lump in the throat piece.
Hurt Mannhatanns Feelings Albert Morris Alone again naturally Gilbert O'Sullivan Any Carpenters there all great And sooooooooo many more could think off I've got a tear just thinking about them
