Hi there everyone. Now dont laugh but i met a bloke on a chat site a few months ago and have been geting to know him slowly as i have a child. We really seem to of clicked and everything has been fantastic - untill ....... he sent a text saying he felt ill and was going home from work to bed night night love ya etc etc and never turned his phone back on again ! Im going mad here - backwards and forwards with if he did it on purpose (which i struggle to believe but maybe im just silly) or has something happened. I dont know how to start tracking him down - ideas please xx

What exactly do you know about him - name? hometown? age?

If you have been talking to him as much as you say then you must at least know some kind of personal details.

I don't know what this fast flirt thing is but I imagine his work would have been pretty annoyed at him using a work phone so maybe he has been sacked. Maybe that's why he suddenly went home 'ill'. After all, it is a form of theft and could easily result in immediate dismissal and therefore removal of his phone.

I'm afraid my first thought with this is that he is not the person you think you have been talking to.

I know his full name, the village he lives in, his brothers name, his nieces names. I did know the company name he works for but i cant remember it. I know what car he drives, what he does, and all his hobbys etc its just he is ex directory with bt, i dont know the road name he lives on and i cant remember his sodding works name ! Argghhhhhh I know how this looks but honestly I am 100 percent sure that he is exactly who I think he is ! I just want people to come up with ideas on how I could trace him etc please please please

If you have his full name and his village name, have you tried the Electoral Roll?

How much does he know about you? Your full name? Your home town? etc... Is it not possible that he could have found you if he wanted to?

What about trying the same way you found each other in the first place. I do think its a bit of a lost cause though as he could have text you in the morning (after he went home ill). I'm sure he would have put the phone on the morning to check for messages. Was that the only mobile he had or did he have a personal one as well?

I do agree tigger, I will do a search and find him if she gives me his name and village, Im pretty good at tracking people down, I have a good track record!

Wake up and stop clutching at straws. You are a responsible adult, but probably a bit lonely and cant get out as much as you would like. But you have a lovely child who you must protect, and please be careful about any details you give out to strangers on the end of a phone. In my experience if you have to chase a man he is not interested. Nature says a man chases a woman.I agree I think he has been sacked for abusing the phone, and had it took off him immediately before he could copy down any numbers.

His Name was Iain actually !!!!!!!
His name was Iain Nathaniel Deed and he lives in Dalton Near Durham

Okay I did 2 searches, 1 search was for his full name and it came back with no results, either his name doesnt exist or he is not on the electoral roll.

I did a search under the name ian (rather than Iain) with 2 results one in hampshire and one in midlothian.

The search was for an Ian Deed rather than the name you gave which has no results. Also have you looked on google maps where "dalton" near durham is? there are a few but they are all quite far from durham.

If he hasnt been in contact then I would leave it if I were you, the fact that he is hard to track down is a clue that all is not as simple as it seems. Its really not worth wasting your precious time over someone like this.

Thankyou for looking for me - i think he may use the name Nathaniel rather than Iain - dont ask I dont know lol His brother is called Jacob but Icant find a BT match for that either. I think it must be Dalton Piercy or dalton le dale - both fairly near durham
Honestly I spend half my time thinking what a **** he is and the other thinking no - he just wasnt like that. im intrigued by clair plucking the name Iain spelt the same out of thin air ....... hmmm suspicious me thinks !

I did look up nathanial as a matter of course fal, infact I looked up everyone in england with that surname, he still wasnt on the list. If he hasnt been in touch I dont think its accidental, he can get your number from a variety of sources. I think its time to let it go.

oh my god !!!!! Are you sure its the same one ? About 5ft 10, dark hair and eyes, very nice looking. said something about his family being french ? If I ever find him again he will know about i can tell you. He had a fairly soft voice with a north east accent ???? Please get back to me mate x
