They're a funny old thing aren't they?
I just text my so called best friend telling her I have a job interview later this week and got this reply: "Well done on interview. Hope it goes well. But 2 be honest I've got enough on my plate without continuing 2 be a mug. So I'm done"
I have no idea what she means by that. I can't think of anything I would have done to upset her but maybe it's nothing to do with me? I text her back asking what's up and what she means but nothing yet....
We're 25 years old as well!

She text me back saying "It means I don't want to be a mug anymore. You've made ur choices & I've made mine. I now know where loyalties lie & I don't have to put up wiv that anymore. I'm thru"
I still have no idea what she means and I'm not psychic so if she has got a lot on her plate she needs to tell me. She was fine yesterday when we spoke....
I know I should have phoned her but it's getting late now and I'd rather she tell me over text what's wrong so then we could arrange to meet up to sort it out.... So i text her saying that I still don't know what she means?
The saga continues.....

Sounds like your freinds has a lot going on at the mo, maybe she feels you are not there to listen? and when you text your good news about the job interview maybe she thought you were trying to rub salt into the wounds...which obviously your not, but is just how she is feeling...go pay her a visit and get to the bottom of it!
eash,
definately talk to her on the phone or in person. texts will never help. if she really is your best friend then i'm sure you don't want to lose her. be direct with her.
i agree with unhappychick, perhaps your text came at the wrong time and she got upset that your not helping her with her problems.
let us know how you get on.

I wish i had the guts your mate has. Have you ever thought that maybe you don't treat her the way you should teat a friend? I'm just going from my personal experience here, but my 'best mate' constantly lies to me, and she honestly believes that i'm unaware of it. So far i just humour her but im getting to the stage where i was wanna say 'enough is enough' and i know for a fact that if i did, she would (claim to) have no idea why......
