Why always white males?

We have all seen the Goverment's increasing numbers of TV commercials that aim to give out some form of message, be it Anti-Smoking, Anti Drinking, Anti Drugs etc. etc.

I refer mainly to the latest one on Abuse, this really does make me cringe. The main perpetrators in this are white males, why?

I think this is offensive to the majority of white males, always labeling them Wife abusers, Child abusers and like. Would it not be PC to occasionally identify them as females or black? I am sure females and black persons can also do their fair share of abusing.

After all we all see demands for fair representation for females and black persons in other acting roles. Or is it if it only puts them in a favourable light?

I couldn't agree more. I always think it must be very hard being a white man in todays England. Look at soaps. Every character is a misfit/nutcase/criminal but as soon as a black character burgles a house the country is up in arms about stereotypes. Weird!

the majority of people in this country are white (Muslims make up only 49% of the population and aren't expected to make up a majority until April). And the majority of abusers are male. So perhaps this is fair representation?

I have always maintained that the most discriminated against group are .... Single white hetrosexual males .... Where is our support group???

Any other group if they were portrayed badly would be up in arms and claim discrimination against them but if it happens to us then nobody bothers.

I think the discrimination card is played far too often just so people can get what they want. Life has its ups and downs so just accept it and get on with it, you only come across as sad desperate people if you keep claiming discrimination for every little thing that doesnt go your way

A leading Hollywood director was once asked why the baddies in movies lately all seemed to have English accents.
He said it was because they were the only nationality/race that didn't kick up a fuss about it.
Thats why white males are used in these type of things.

Well we have all seen or know of women being violent to men, these acts are even included into the story lines of TV Soaps.

Obviously you have now got to take my word for it, but i am not in the habit of lying.

I know of two separate cases personally of 2 white girls whose black parteners, regularly beat them up and their injuries were not a pretty site, broken jaw etc.

And before any of you accuse me of being racist, it was jno who asked me provide evidence.

But to be PC and to attach the obligatory footnote.

"I have to state that not all black partners are a health hazard, there are many that prove to enter into happy and loving partnerships".

Sorry, soaps don't count. They're fiction. And no, I don't know of any women being violent to men, though I expect it happens. My question however related to whether they do 'their fair share' of abusing. Given the population ratio, that would mean women doing half the abusing. Any evidence of this?

Yes of course they are but would the writers dare to reverse the roles, I don't think so somehow, they would soon have all the Women's support groups down on their heads.

The reason you don't hear much of female abuse upon males, is half the trouble men are too macho to talk about it or even report it.

There are also cases of mental abuse upon men by women.
