the new esta system to enter the USA

i filled one out online back in september when it was voluntary went through no problem, the idiot that i am however filled another one out the other evening not knowing we didnt have to and now its come back "pending". but also back in october i was stopped by immgration at dallas airport the officers wanted to speak to someone with the same name as me for whatever reason so they did there checks and it was'nt me so i got an apology and was told its been taken care of, could this possible be the reason for the pending ? i fly feb 19th and will be very ****** off if i get denied as im as clean as a whistle, and i wont be able to see my girlfrend who i have just got back with. sorry for the long one peeps, if anyone could help that'll be grand thankyou :o)
