Basically yesterday it was my birthday and my dad got me an Iphone. It wasnt a brand new one, it was one he bought off his friend, because the new ones are SO expensive. Anyway its good condition barely used etc etc. But the thing is.. the home button is now broken/stuck.. and i dont know what to do because obviously it wont have any warranty because its not mine.. and i feel so bad for my dad and i dont want to tell him!!!

you can still take it into apple or a phone shop and ask their advice. it might be a common problem with an easy fix.

secondly, you might be better asking the ab editor to move this to technology for a better / more technicaladvice?
If the warranty period is still good, is it possible to return it to the original owner for him to have it repaired and then return to you?
you should definintely mention it to your dad - the friend he bought it off may have said it had never been used or something, in which case your dad may have been ripped off. also, the friend may have the warranty which will mean it can be fixed. I know you don't want to upset your dad by saying its broken, but maybe just give it a mention (make a joke and say you've probably used it too much since he gave it to you or something?). COuld also try the other idea of popping into the shop wtih it to see if they can fix it first? good luck (and happy birthday for yesterday!) xx
