Contacting an Ex
7 Answers
Should I make contact with an ex of mine. It is over 10 years ago since we parted (we were really never togther it was VERY casual) He did want more but at the time I was not in a position to get involved - still aren't and he probably would not want to now. But I would like to be friends just a little bit unsure that he may get the wrong idea
What do men generally think about these situations?

Ten years!! Move on. Leave well alone. It was, in your own words, VERY casual. As a man if a 'very casual' ex contacted me after ten years I would at the very best think that she is obviously a bit desperate so I might be on for a bit of a no strings attached fling. I've had an ex contact me after ten years, I thought it was weird and wasn't very impressed at hearing from him again. Fortunately he called my old home number and my mother took his mobile number and passed it on to me... I promptly filed it in the bin.
Ten years is too long to be looking back I think.

Just to let you all know I have decided not to contact him. The only reason he came back to mind was because I bumped into an ex-colleague who lives near him and about a week later I caught sight of him as I was passing the co-op (now I promise I am not stalking him) and I would have liked to know how he is gettng on etc but as I have been advised I will leave well alone
Personally my advice would be ;
Only you can decide what you want and if you did contact him then make sure he knows how you feel but also if you have doubts for any reason do consider effects that they could have just think very carefully about all good and bad before you make choice but take your time to make sure your not going to regret anything.
