For some of us, the cultural complications of your relationship may be difficult to understand. It would seem best that if you are going to get grief off all your family for continuing to be friends with this boy, then breaking the relationship might be best all round. There is something about it - possibly to do with your getting older yourself - that is making your parents uncomfortable, particularly if your cousin is getting the same advice too.
