Okay...I have to set this up for you. A few years ago and still now. We met his energy feels perfect. safe, non-judgmental and inviting. I am sure he feels the same way about me, given the best time was the hugs also asking me for drinks after show with his other friends. He is local musician that how we met at one of his shows afterwards. We still continue to e-mail each other. Cause he lives four hours away. Each show would be the same thing each sometime in his town or mine town show we hug for a min always busy backstage this 15 min each show. The awkward part is his job, it's not a normal situation. I can't ask much of him or show at his place. More of a friend than fan its slashes fan/friend thing. I want to go next step with him I don't know how or how to approach this. Which is get to know him better. I only see him at his shows few times a year, I could use your advice on this. Thanks for your time!

I wish it was that simple :) Thanks craftypig.
Maybe he isnt into groupies?
From what I can understand of this post you're more a fan than a mate/girlfriend material since you can't ask much of him. A hug before a show is not any kind of intimacy and probably he's just grateful for the fans (as any musician probably would be) and is being polite and friendly. Move on.
As i read this, he is giving you no indication that he wishes for this to be aynthing more than it is.................. and might be surprised that you would want it go any further.

4 hours a way isnt that far !!!

im wondering what age he is and the age you are ??

and why you cant contact him at work, or presumably at home ??

sounds a bit weird to me
"The awkward part is his job" Does he have another job apart from his music?
A lot of people have long distance relationships, my OH used to live 8 hours away but it was feasible because we both wanted it. He sounds like he's pleased to see you because you are a regular fan,but that's the end of it. Unfortunately for you it's become a bit of an obsession but you need to break it - it doesn't sound as if anything's going to come of it, otherwise he would have slipped you his phone number or email address by now. Don;t even think about "next step" - otherwise you're turning into a groupie, IMO.
the fact that you talk in terms of his energy etc sounds like you have him up on a pedestal and have imagined he is thinking the same as you.

fact is, if he liked you, wild horses wouldnt stop him...being busy, far away, etc etc is an excuse...by now if he wanted you he'd have seen you more than a few times a year at his shows...

he is keeping you sweet as you are a loyal fan, but sounds like nothing more...

if by some remote chance, he is interested, do nothing an let him come to you - if he doesnt then you have your answer....

you do also sound like a teenager with a crush...how old are you? how old is he?
