can anyone tell me if Xenical tablets have liquid paraffin in them, ive been taking one a day to help shed the pounds and they have been working up till i ate some pasta, ive been feeling bit.... err.. clogged up if you catch my drift? i wanted to take something to help it but instructions say i shouldnt take it if im taking anything with liquid paraffin.

The contents of the tablets will be listed in the patient information leaflet which you had with the tablets, either your GP will have given you a separate leaflet, or it'll be in the box. Have a look here, it says there can be side effects of changes in bowel habits. I would eat fruit and veg as it recommends, not take laxatives, that sounds a bad idea. A pear often does the trick for me, btw!

I certainly would not take liquid paraffin or any other laxative whilst using Xenical, the effect could be disastrous lol

if you must use a laxitive try senna or buy some prunes or dried apricots and eat them with plenty of water
