Hello all,
I for one am glad to see the lighter nights and mornings, makes me feel that summer is coming! Who is up for an Easter egg hunt? Of course, you can use chocolate eggs or bags of sweets, but how about those little party favours instead to save the teeth and waistlines?
For those of you without kids just enjoy the long weeknd and maybe let yourselves have a little treat.
And by the way a big WELCOME to all our new users in the last couple of months. Good Luck and well done for taking the first step.
We welcome anyone serious about losing weight and we offer support and kind thoughts - not magic fixes, just sensible help.
Don't forget your weekly weigh on Wednesday and remember we don't judge!

If I had the weight of another person to lose I'd just try to throw them off, then run away and give them the slip !

OG, I get very big peaks and troughs on a daily basis, my digital scales claim a 2lb+ increase in 24 hours but I know that maybe tomorrow it will show quite a loss, this is where daily weighing can get confusing, so I dont tend to take too much notice on a daily basis but it is a good guide and gives me a boost when I see a big gain! I log my weight loss and gain on a graph (a phone app) as well as showing daily peaks and troughs it also gives a 7 day average flow and as long as that average is still going down hill im happy.
Hi Ratters I only weigh on a Sunday if I think I may have gained as then I can do someting to try and rectify it before Wednesday . I would go crazy if I saw ups and downs everyday. Glad that your back is getting beter I bet your dogs are missing there walks.
Welcome Smowball hope it goes the right way for you . Don't weigh again till you go your class.

wendilla, the dogs are still getting there walks, just not so far, we still take them to our "wild garden" our field up the road, where we also keep our chickens, the dogs can run off lead and we can sit in a large summer house if its raining and the dogs can still play in the rain if they so wish. We often go up there with a flask of coffee, put the storm lanterns on and the 100 year old paraffin heater and we have our little piece of heaven!
If you read my past posts you'll see I am forever moaning at my scales reading up and down and up again and down again. Weird experience.
I have just spent a short time analysing what I've been eating over the last fortnight and, as I expected/feared, it has been too much. But to be honest it hasn't seemed too much, just normal. I've had some good days, but many more days when I was over the top. But the worst being the day I opted to grab a Tesco Cafe lunch (not a great experience). I tried to analyse the calorie value of the different items that came in the roast and could not deny it seemed to be over a day's allowance in one meal ! Not sure where I got it wrong, surely it can't be that high. It was a really bad day for intake, that one.
Anyway apparently I'm averaging a third more per day than I should, which is down to being just over most days and then having a few awful ones every now and again.
I really must get to grips with this properly. I still have the habits that keep me relatively low, such as soup for lunch, but somehow that no longer seems to sort things. Weekends I have less control over, but I really ought not be over Monday to Friday. It doesn't bode well for keeping it off if I ever reach an acceptable healthy weight/size.

Well done to the losers!! I have lost a pound this week and am delighted. I have a half pound to go to get to my goal weight. I've taken a couple of years to lose the 11 and a half pounds that I've lost so far, because I go up and down a lot, but ultimately in the right direction. I feel rather silly that I had less than a stone to lose in all, and it's taken me this long when some off you have been so successful and much faster too. Also, I reached my goal weight once ages ago, but because I stopped weighing myself, and coming on here, I undid all the good work in just a few weeks.
