Hi all!
How is everyone getting on?
Here is last month's thread: http:// www.the answerb ank.co. uk/Body -and-So ul/Weig ht-Loss -and-Di eting/Q uestion 1495716 .html
Last month we were talking about when and how much we can treat ourselves. Did you see the report in the news about office cakes being a danger to our health? http:// www.bbc .co.uk/ news/he alth-36 608269
I'm getting quite well-practiced at saying no to cakes and donuts in the office! Maybe birthdays in the office should be celebrated with something a bit less naughty? How do you make sure you don't give in to temptation?

I'm having a hard time explaining what I mean but let's say that you have three types of food x y and z. If you eat x and y together it's fine but if you eat X and z together they create xy2 which puts on weight. Do you get my meaning or do I belong on another planet?
I've come across food combining before now but don't feel I could buy into it. It tends to be about splitting food types and eating them at separate meals. I'm more inclined to think that even if a combination of food types means some aren't processed properly, then they are more likely to pass through, not get more energy extracted and turned into fat.
For sure I have issues with some things. The 2 day out-of-normal-control weekends I had a year ago are now 3 days weekends. I could put my foot down but it would be awkward when I'm more or less a guest elsewhere.
Or I could avoid the carbs more but I find anything else fails to satisfy. For example I bought bananas to snack on mid afternoon this week, instead of looking at buying biscuits or baked crisps, and after eating one I'm thinking, "That was ok, but I still feel peckish, what else is there ?"
Maybe I should try to drink more water, not that I think it'd help but these last couple of weeks have shown a turn around in the loss so it's a bit stressful at present and I should try anything.
I thought that in the hot weather I would want less anyway but it seems not.
