No wonder your feeling light headed if you've done the two diet days in a row.

I did the 5:2 diets a couple of years ago and lost a lot of weight. Don't try and do two consecutive days. A bit of advice , pick two days that you will not be at home, so you can't succumb, know exactly what and when you are going to eat on your fasting days, homemade vegetable soup is a life saver. I used to cut out breakfast, eat an apple around 12, vegetable soup as late as I can bear it, and then grilled/ steamed fish or chicken breast with a little bit of boiled rice. You will be so hungry anything will taste good. You will probably find on your normal days you won't each as much as normal either, so as not to undo what you did the day before ! Good luck. It does work .
If you haven't already, maybe read up about it so you know how...and why...it works.

If I was doing it,I'd have mostly protein, as it will keep you satisfied for longer.
Apparently,Michael Mosely who devised the diet,is now suggesting that an extra 100cal per day is allowed on fasting days.

Do you like soup? Of so a large bag of frozen mixed veg Tesco value for a £1 is what I use, a couple of chicken stock cubes 2 small chicken breast fillets and salt and pepper - pop it all in a pan add some water and cook, remove the breast and blend chop chicken and stick it back in. Huge pot of soup for 350 calories that you can eat as much as you want.
I do this for hubby when he does it - he has a couple of boiled eggs for breakfast and then just eats this soup all day. Never feels hungry

If you're not going to be eating chicken, fish or red meat...you're going to be hungry. What about eggs? And cheese? You could make a big crustless quiche, and have a slice of that for a meal. Or baked peppers stuffed with other veg,and a bit of rice, couscous or quinoa.
